The Course Overview

The LPIC-1 is the first certification in the Linux Professional Institute’s multi-level certification program, which covers Linux knowledge and basic maintenance skills. This is the first step a system administrator can take to becoming a certified master of business maintenance and management.

The LPIC-1 is particularly useful for beginning a career as a systems administrator, as it is designed to test your knowledge of the day-to-day tasks required to keep a Linux system running. LPIC-1 training covers the use and maintenance of a Linux workstation. Once you’ve earned LPIC-1, the other LPI certifications are open to you, and that’s where the real work begins.
