The Course Overview

70-411: Administering Windows Server 2012 is an exam preparatory course run by Microsoft. It covers exam topics in great detail and prepares students for functions related to system administration, including deploying, managing and maintaining servers, configuring file and print services, configuring network services and access, configuring the NPS infrastructure, configuring and managing Active Directory, and configuring and managing Group Policy.

Course 70-411 is the second course in the series of three courses required to fully prepare for the Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA) certification. The other two being 70-410 and 70-412. Students are strongly encouraged to complete these three courses before taking the corresponding Microsoft exams. This course covers the administrative aspect of a Microsoft Windows Server 2012 environment and prepares students to effectively manage Windows Server 2012 users, access, policies, and data security features.

    Create and configure vCenter, ESXi hosts, and virtual machines (VMs)
  • Understand and configure vSphere standard and distributed virtual switches

  • Create virtual machines, manage VMware Tools, work with vApps, templates, cloning and snapshots
  • Configure vMotion, DRS, high availability, and fault tolerance
    Upgrade older versions of vSphere to vSphere 7
